The Norwalk Police Department and the Norwalk Rotary Club is sponsoring Safety Town this summer. Your child will be provided with everything they need in class. There is no charge for this program. This is our 37th year for Safety Town in Norwalk. The Norwalk Rotary Club has made sizable donations to the program. Safety Town participants will be watching movies and discussing traffic lights, stop signs, intersections, bicycle safety, strangers, gun safety, railroads, police officers, school bus and general safety on drugs, matches, fire and poisons. The children will be crossing the streets at the intersections in the area of the school, using our Safety Town Big Wheels on the playground/parking lot, and doing classroom work. On graduation day, the children are to arrive at the normal time. The parents should return one hour later! Cameras are welcome and encouraged! |
