Records

Our records department is available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Most requests will be handled by the records clerk, Marcie Kangars. Certain records requests will also be honored after hours. The records of the Norwalk Police Department are not checked prior to computerization in June, 1991.

	We only search the records of incidents that occurred in the city limits of Norwalk.
	We can only release records that have been disposed of in court.
	Knowing the name and social security number of the party involved, along with the date and time of the incident will greatly help the search for the record.
	Accident reports will be released only when the officer has completed the report. It is recommended that you call first to ensure the report will be ready for you when you get here!
