What is curfew for minors in Norwalk? 

    According to section 509.09 of the Norwalk Codified Ordinances, no child under the age of eighteen years shall be outside the confines of his home site and congregate, wander, loiter or play upon the streets and other public places of the City, Between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

What is law regarding loud noise in Norwalk?

    Section 509.08 states that no person shall generate or permit to be generated unreasonable noise or loud sound which is likely to cause inconvenience or annoyance to persons of ordinary sensibilities by means of a radio, phonograph, television, tape player, compact disc player, loudspeaker or any other sound amplifying device. 
(1) It is prima facie unlawful for a person to generate or permit to be generated sound by the above described devices or instruments in the following circumstances:
A. On private property between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. of the following day in or near a predominately residential area, regardless of existing non-conforming use or variance, where the sound is audible more than 100 feet from the property line of the property on which the source of the sound is located;
B. On a street, highway or in the public right-of-way where the sound is audible 100 feet from the device generating the sound. Persons in possession of a current parade permit issued pursuant to Section 311.02 of the Norwalk Codified Ordinances are exempt from the provisions of this subsection.

My neighbor's dog keeps barking.  What can I do?

     For bothersome barking dogs you may call the police department.  Section 505.09 states a) No person shall keep or harbor any dog within the Municipality which, by frequent and habitual barking, howling or yelping, creates unreasonably loud and disturbing noises of such a character, intensity and duration as to disturb the peace, quiet and good order of the Municipality. Any person who shall allow any dog habitually to remain, be lodged or fed within any dwelling, building, yard or enclosure, which he occupies or owns, shall be considered as harboring such dog.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
