"Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs" is a hands-on, outdoor education program, using recreational fishing as an instructional tool. It encourages young people to make responsible and knowledgeable decisions concerning their environment and lifestyle. This will be accomplished though a curriculum based program and supporting structured activities delivered by trained instructors. Augmented by family and community involvement, it emphasizes the positive role of mentors. The Norwalk Police Department, with the help of area agencies and businesses, will sponsor a day of fishing at the Norwalk Reservoir this summer. "Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs" is open to area youth and their parents. We recommend that participants bring their own fishing poles. There will be some equipment available to use. However, we recommend that you bring your own fishing pole if you have one! We will provide lunch and door prizes! Check back for information on the next program! This program is sponsored by:
